Highlights of 2010... so far!
Time to dust out the cobwebs from my blog and fill you in with some exciting news! Tupelo Music Hall (in Londonderry, NH & Salisbury, MA) has been super supportive of my music and provided me with many great opportunities. Recently, I had the chance to open for Shawn Colvin and just this past weekend one of my biggest musical inspirations : PAULA COLE!!! It was a dream come true for me. BEST PART: Tupelo's just booked me as a HEADLINER for August 20th!! To go …

Kerrville Folk Fest!
YEEEHAWWW. I'm in Texas! This is my first time and I am loving it. Earlier this year, I submitted to the Kerrville Folk Festival's 'New Folk Competition'. Out of 800+ applicants, 32 artists are chosen to play for 3 judges and a LOT of music loving, friendly folkies. I am very honored to be amongst so many talented New Folk finalists. Before the show, the staff stressed to the finalists that the crowd is "here to love you!". Well, that didn't calm my nerves! I thought …

What an honor to be a part of the Conservatory Project at the Kennedy Center. I am so grateful for the Berklee faculty for putting such a great trip together. On Thursday afternoon, Johnny, Rob Hayes and I went to the Voice of America. It was soooo cool. Doug Levine hosts his own radio show and invited us in for an interview. Johnny and I really …

9 hot pink fingernails
Currently listening to: Deb Talan: "Two Points" I painted my nails before heading up to New Hampshire for a show at Tupelo Music Hall (opening for Colin Hay!) last night. Unfortunately, on the way there I realized I left one unpainted. With a few extra minutes I stopped at CVS and bought what I thought was a similar shade of pink nail polish. Unfortunately, it ended up being a very different shade of pink. So much for that. Well... me and my nine hot pink fingernails had a blast anyway. I …
